Happy Sunday everyone!
Yes, I know I missed my summary last week. I was at a retreat and did not plan ahead!
But I am back this week with just a few short things.
First, I found this article which reminded me of one my very favorite books, The Art of Asking. If you haven’t read this, it is a must. Personally, as someone who thinks I can do everything on my own, this was a great book on the simplicity of asking for the help you need.
Completely unrelated but helpful nonetheless, as I am typing this, a group of students are making some great recipes with essential oils. If you are interested in essential oils and you want very high quality, get your essential oils from Mountain Rose Herbs. They also have so much more than just essential oils. The recipes the students are making smell so good. Things like body scrubs, face cream, household cleaners and more. I always enjoy when aromatherapy is in the air (see what I did there).
This week was a paperwork week for me. I had guest teachers all week and spent the time in my office doing paperwork. I enjoy scheduling a week like this for myself a couple times a year. It helps me focus and get a lot of things accomplished. I use the pomodoro technique to manage my time. If you have problems getting distracted while trying to accomplish things, try the pomodoro technique. It is amazingly simple way to stay focused.
Finally, what am I cooking this week? Tonight is shrimp and grits. I don’t use any of the lowfat suggestions in the recipe and, as usual, everything I use is organic. YUM!
Thanks for reading my little Sunday Summary!
